ABOUT VICTORY CHURCH

Our church is a family. We come together, young and old, to worship with passion and to seek His face.

We are a Kingdom family church who believe in being relevant in our community and making a difference in society. We serve a great God, whose heart is for His people and for their well-being in every area of life. Church is more than a Sunday event – we are the Church! Together we engage in everyday life – the challenges and the joys. Being the church is about living life together and enjoying one another as we build meaningful relationships through Christ, advancing His Kingdom.

WE ARE A KINGDOM FAMILY CHURCH

Together, we love God, love His people, live life, and advance His Kingdom.

VISION AND MISSION

WE ARE A KINGDOM FAMILY CHURCH

Together, we love God, love His people, live life, and advance His Kingdom.

LOVE GOD

We love God because He first loved us. The highest call on our lives is to love God. Christianity is based on a personal relationship with God. As people, we cannot respond in love until we have received His love. God is love and His love is unconditional!

1 John 4:18-19 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

LOVE HIS PEOPLE

When we allow the love of God to touch our lives and heal our hearts, it moves us from self-centeredness to God-centeredness and then, to other-centeredness. We know the love of God is real to us when our response is to love others the way Christ loved us.

1 John 3:16 “By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren”

LIVE LIFE

God wants us to live every day to the full – spirit, soul and body, enjoying life and one another as we live in the ways of God! Man can turn to many other sources of life but ultimately Jesus, and knowing Him is the only source of life.

John 17: 3 “Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”

ADVANCE HIS KINGDOM

God’s purpose is to advance His Kingdom on earth. He does this through men and women who are yielded to the Lordship of Jesus Christ – people who love God, love His people and live life.

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

What we believe at Victory Church.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

What we believe at Victory Church.

We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and that only they constitute the Divine Rule of Christian faith and practice.

We believe there is only one God, Who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things and Who is the only proper Object of worship.

We believe there are three Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.

We believe that Jesus Christ was God made manifest in the flesh through the virgin birth, truly and properly God and truly and properly man, and that He by His suffering and death made atonement for sin, and that by His resurrection there is eternal life for all who believe in Him.

We believe that since the fall of our first parents, unable to find salvation and reconciliation with God in his own strength and that he is wholly dependent upon God’s grace and mercy.

We believe that salvation, by God’s grace, depends upon repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, cleansing by the shed blood of Jesus, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We believe that baptism in water is a personal and dynamic meeting with God and a sign of the believer’s death, burial and resurrection in Christ Jesus.

We believe it is the privilege of all believers, in response to the command of God’s Word, to receive the power of the Holy Spirit and to live holy and victorious lives, and that the Holy Spirit operates through gifts, ministries and manifestations to glorify Jesus through His Body to the world.

We believe that Jesus Christ, at the time of His ascension into Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father, gifted the Church with living ministry expressions of Himself through apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the building of the Body of Christ and the equipping of the believers to the work of service.

We believe that neither ritual, tradition, ceremony or rite can replace salvation (by grace, relationship with God, or true worship, and that nothing less than the Lordship of Christ upon a life is the mark of a Christian.

We believe in the continuance of the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, as instituted by Jesus with His disciples, so that we may truly discern the Body of Christ in its totality, unity, and authority, and that this celebration stands as a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death and as a prophecy of His coming, and as such is commanded to all His followers until that Day.

We believe in the physical, triumphant return of Jesus Christ as a resurrected saviour and king to an overcoming and glorious Church.

We believe it is the Commission of the Church to go into the whole world to preach the gospel, make disciples and extend the Kingdom of God, knowing that “this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to the whole world for a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come. ”

We believe in the judgement of God, in the eternal punishment of the wicked and everlasting joy of the righteous.

WHAT TO EXPECT

SO, YOU’RE NEW TO VICTORY?

Our Sunday celebrations are where we gather as a family to celebrate God’s greatness through exuberant praise, intimate worship, dynamic preaching, and authentic relationships.

PARKING

Once you’ve made it to our campus, the first thing you need to do is find a parking spot. Follow the parking officials and they will guide you to an open spot and keep an eye on your vehicle during the service!

BABIES

We have a fantastic baby room where nursing moms can enjoy the service while feeding and looking after their newborns without any disturbance. You’ll be able to follow the service on the big screen TV.

TODDLERS

Our toddlers’ room is a safe place for your little one to enjoy the company of other children under your supervision. You will still be able to follow the service on the screen. Toddlers must please be accompanied by a parent and may not be left by themselves with other children.

DISCOVERY KIDS

Got little ones between the ages 3 – 5? When the screens show that the Victory Kids can go, you can bring your little one along for a fun-filled time where they will learn about their relationship with God in ways that are simple, creative and fun! If you don’t know where to go, ask the ushers.

VICTORY KIDS

All kids from Grade R – 7 are welcome! Join us at the front of the auditorium at the beginning of the service as we worship together! Wait for the cue during worship where the screens will display that the Victory Kids may leave. Our staff and volunteers will then take the kids to their own space on our campus where they have their time together.

AUDITORIUM

Come right in! Our auditorium seats up to 700 people. On your way in, you will meet some of our friendly ushers who are ready to assist you.
